Bohumír Stehlík is one of the foremost pianists of the younger generation. He stands out by his sensitive instrumental skill and great musical expressive power.
Bohumír Stehlík (*1990 Prague, Czech Republic) started his musical studies at the Music Gymnasium in Prague under Irina Kondratěnko. After one year spent on the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague he came to Sweden, where he studied at Edsberg Music Institute, part of the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and one of the most prestigious Scandinavian music academies under prof. Mats Widlund. Bohumír has won first prizes in a number of solo competitions (e. g. Ljunggrenska tävlingen, Concertino Praga, Virtuosi per Musica di Pianoforte). He has been also awarded many scholarships, recently Swedish National Scholarship 2015. Besides Duo du Rêve he is a member of an international Ensemble D'Accord. In addition to concert activity Bohumír partly worked as a colaborative piano teacher at the music academy Ingesund at Karlstad University in Sweden. Nowadays he hold the same position at Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno.
